Merely the beginning
By bootheeling
Sanlon's exploration of how a radical definition of freedom underlies queer theory in its scholarly origins is compelling and intriguing--and, alas, all too brief. This topic deserves more extensive treatment. I can only hope that Sanlon returns to it at some pointt.
It should be noted as well that this edition of the book contains several typos--while they do not impair the quality of the arguments Sanlon advances, they do distract.

Peter Sanlon's book on Queer theory clearly, concisely and helpfully reviews an academic movement which has completely reshaped the way we understand the human person in Western society. The book engages closely with the work of Judith Butler (a leading Queer Theorist), describing and critiquing some of her work. This final chapter gives clear scriptural reflection upon her thoughts.
